What kind of ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ does that to paying customers? I know for sure this is the last game I will ever buy from them.

COM Surragate is another piece of garbage Micro$hit has intalled into your PC as well. It's some kind of wrap-around program that finds it's way around programs in your PC and just ruins them. I thought I'd got rid of it a while back then, while in certain game, I was having all sorts of issues with it so, I opened up TM and there it was, I shut down the operation and it closed the game along with it. Now, every time in play that game, I have issues with it because, it's made itself a home with that game. Most of the time, it will hide itself from you when you use TM to try and shut it down.

dllhost, or COM surrogate is needed by some programs to ensure your whole windows is stable even if that program crashes. Its one lf the reasons Windows is more stable now than it used to be. But it can be used by malware, so it doesn't hurt to check once in a while to see that you don't have a lot of them opened. :)

Maybe for W10 but not 7. I'm still running W7 and had no issues whatsoever until M$ tried to install W10 without my permission. My system is for gamig and wasn't set up for OS upgrades. However, COM Surragate got by, somehow. My system has been glitchy every since. 87 attempts for W10 update, all failed. I was when it was offered for free at my discretion yet, MShit tried to install it anyway.

Oh. Microsoft tried the same thing to my laptop, but I blocked everything that had to do with W10. Can't remember the name of the app, but I used one to block off every attempt to update to W10 by MS. When are corporations and companies going to learn to respect our choices?

Maybe CI will file bankruptcy and go out of business ( We can only hope). Then another company can swoop in and attempt to fix SGW 3 ... If it is even fixxable. It is such a train wreck right now that it may be beyond hope! We should ALL petition Steam to have CI games kicked off of Steam!!!

Sux I really wanted to buy this game :(

It really sucks for me to have found this out. I liked and own all of the SGW games. I really don't want to do anymore online shopping now, because of it. I don't use my C.C. to purchase anything but, even though I use Paypal & a pre-fill debit card, I don't want that info stolen, either. C.I. can't guarantee it's not happening and they may not of had intentions of it happening if it has, already but, they did know what this app does and how it works or, they'd not have used it in the first place. No matter their excuses or, reasons for using it, it's a done deal now.

I wish I could get a full refund of all my games due to this app and I don't even want to click on anything on the store page anymore. I don't even think a full reinstall of my OS would help. My security system is pretty 'state of the art' but, I don't even trust it, anymore now. :sad_creep:

As long as you don't dowload this game, you should be fine. This is the only game that is infected with the redshell virus to my knowledge.

Reputation hard to earn, easy to lose just in one moment. They are can temporarily disable it to make the hype about spyware less, and then later return the spyware modules back in absolute silence.
