button mapping not being saved

every time i start the game, the entire key mapping has been reset to its default settings. i have accepted every button i have remapped but to no avail when i start the game again.
i can remap them and play fine like that but thats certainly not the idea that i have to go back to the controls to remap my keyboard to my liking when i start up the game.
and no, i do not have a controller connected to my computer.

Am i the only one who has this issue or the only one who remapps the keys to my liking?

No! I remap a few, mainly bringing SWG3 in line with GRW, the keys stay fine for me.

Some, if not all, of the keys are hard-coded, meaning there's no cfg file in which to save any changes. I'm hoping they're going to do something about this in an upcoming patch...

Well, if it stays for you, it makes me wonder why its not the same for me. I play games for over 25 years and this would the first game i came across that does not save the settings.

But last night, the keys stayed as i left them. Just a bit baffling why it never stayed like this every time i started the game.

otherwise i enjoy the game a lot. even more than part 2 and i liked it more than part 1.

I played for the first time today and have the same problem. Tried 3 times, everytime the key settings are resetted. Strangely, this is only true for the key settings. I use Mouse Button 5 for sprinting and MB 4 for a takedown. Those setttings were persistent. But all other key settings,e.g. using F instead of E for "Use this and that" have been reset.
A Hotfix sure would be nice. I loved my first hour in the game, but this is a no go.

Surprisingly it kept my settings for a long time. I also use E for use and MB 4 as takedown. MB 5 is for me the sniper vision.
Anyway, i dont know what happened but buttons are set. I guess there is a section in the game once reached, it will keep your settings. Im in act 4 now and never had to change my keys.

The game never kept my settings, and I played the entire thing - 122 hours, having to rebind my keys every time I started.

Fortunately it was quick and simple, as all I changed was to swap C and Ctrl, and 1 and 3, but still... annoying, and I do hope it's been fixed in the upcoming patch and DLC next week.

that is a bummer. i know i was anoyed that i had to change them everytime i played the game but then it kept my settings.
well, lets hope the new patch will fix this issue. and hopefully the loading time. they are really very long.

Well, this is strange. Have played for a while, finished the "Blockout" Mission and the first Side-Mission, left the game to eat and started it again and Hey, presto: keys are saved.
This is quite strange behaviour for a game ;)

That is really strange. Like the game needs many reminders to save the key settings.

Played the game for the first time yesterday and loved it. Now every time I want to play it I have to reset my keybindings over and over again. This has been out for how long and they still haven't fixed it?
