In fact, Escape of Lydia is not included in the main campain. You must go to the main menu, select campain and you can choose this second little (just 2 missions) campain.

Should I play the dlc before the campaign is it connected? or does it not matter

@Ace It doesn't matter in which order you play it. Both is not connected. I played the DLC mission multiple times, it's only about an hour long. Since it's meant to be a prolog to the main campaign story, I played it before the main campaign at first. But it really doesn't matter. You don't keep any weapons or skills from there in the main mission or vice versa.

It always remains locked in the main campaign, whereas when you're playing the Escape DLC, the other Act1-4 remain locked (even though you completed some of them already). It seems that the main campaign and DLC campaign are handled and calculated totally separate from each other. Definitely bad game design here, cause it confuses many people. No idea why they even show all the other missions/acts in the DLC campaign and in vice versa the DLC campaign. But unfortunately the whole game, although it's fun to play, is a bit unfinished and still like a beta version.

The DLC was an hour long?! Took me 20 mins. also, I don't know if its a bug or they didn't finish it because it was only 2 levels and then it just fades to black without explaining how she escaped.

its does seem like an unfinished product , I also found to be fairly lame in general
