Here is the main issue with Denuvo:
I'm a frequent upgrader and hardware changer, the past 5 months i have changed hardware 10-12 times, each damn time i change a piece or plug in something to test for few minutes, i have to reactive all Denuvo games, some which fails to activate either by firewall blocking it, internet or service is down, so i currently have 5-6 games with Denuvo and it is annoying as hell when you re-activate them all.
Windows 10 gets several updates per month, on each update, Denuvo games must reactive, back to the same problem.
And last is a major and serious concern, if people remember what happened to windows live when it went down, devs had to go back and patch these games to run without windows live, unfortunately there are alot of titles that has been left in the cold, which means you can no longer play them.
if Denuvo went down and it will go down eventually since multiple people are cracking it, it will reach a point that its going to be cracked within minutes of release same as every other protection, by then publishers will stop using it as its useless and Denuvo services will shutdown, WHICH MEANS, publishers MUST go back and patch all of their games to work without Denuvo and this is something i doubt most of publishers will do, thus it will render your games unplayable.
so for all people defending Denuvo, it doesnt stop piracy, it stops you THE REAL CUSTOMER from playing your games, so everyone should oppose such anti-consumer practices like these.
+1
EA still has not fixed 75% of the ♥♥♥♥ in Mass Effect.
No, the game has well denuvo as protection
PROOF ? Other than your game has issues, because there are dozens of games that just came out that have issues and they do not use Denuvo.
dude, don't make yourself a joke that its already is, the game is protected by Denuvo v4 x64, the publisher failed to publish this on their store page, if you are novice enough and didn't read about it, it is your problem, if you want a proof, just google it or better download a protection identifier software and let it scan the exe, sigh......
"A quick disclaimer before we get into this. A lot has changed since we did our GTX 1060 Vulkan benchmarks in July 2016. There has been literally dozens of new Nvidia drivers, any of which may have a positive (or negative) impact on DOOM’s performance. DOOM itself has also been patched, another factor which may affect performance. To that end, we do not know for sure the results of this benchmark are directly indicative of Denuvo’s performance impact, but they do at least form some sort of guideline"
Directly quoted from the article linked. In the case of DOOM, even the the site itself acknowledges that there results may be skewed due to patches/drivers etc.
Anyway, lets not unnecessarily drag out this thread into another denuvo debate. Once a game is cracked, there isn't really any point of keeping denuvo, by that point its done its job of stopping piracy for x amount of time, and thus should be removed. People who didn't want to buy because of it will (hopefully) buy, people having drm issues should (hopefully) stop having issues, and all will be well in the world besides the game-related bugs and issues people are having.
CI Games-joke company in my eyes.
