Night Vision doesnt really work
The night vision mode in the game doesnt do anything more than turn everything green ?
And thats not how night vision works, it should show all the dark areas in green so you can see alot better

I was in one of the basement missions where it was really dark, i couldnt see hardly anything, so i put my night vision on and it was just the same but in green, it should show up that basement like a green light has being put on, but no, all the dark areas where still dark, and the small amount of light areas just turned green

Most game devs have never used this type of equipment. It should be obvious, Silencers do not wear out or degrade velocity and accuracy, it only takes one bullet head to make a cased bullet not 2, 3 or 4. I could go on. But they do make one heck of a game. they just need to get some friends that actually know about weapons.

I thought Splinter Cell Black List had the perfect night vision visualization. Perhaps the devs will take a look.

Ive never held a gun in my life, never used night vision, but i know just form being a human that its not working as intended, yes, even the silencer shouldnt degrade that quick, no idea why they thought that would be a good idea...

first off, they're called suppressors, and secondly, they most definetly do wear out and lower overall velocity of a bullet

If I bought a real silencer and it falls off after 20 something shots Id wanna refund.

It's just a green filter, really.

Given that i play in a dark room, i don't need it, and find that it obscures more than it reveals.

Also, after the mission to the wedding, where i stashed my gear, my night vision gear and armour vanished.

well first off, you don't buy silencers, you can buy a SUPPRESSOR. and secondly, IRL it takes something along the lines of 30K or 300K shots through a SUPPRESSOR to trash it.

Just so you know the original design was called a silencer, despite being functionally the same as a modern day suppressor. Also funny because one company is called Silencerco. I do tend to call them suppressors because that is more accurate to what they actually do. But, calling them a silencer is NOT wrong.
Sincerely, A gun owner.

Not sure of the measurement since I don't have much play time, but I have had to repair mine several times. I would guess every couple missions. I know it may not be realistic but I think it adds a money sink and some strategy. If my cover is blown I won't "waste" my suppressor since I dont need it and use an unsuppressed gun.

Yes if you dont clean you rifle. I have put 2000+ rounds through my AR and it is still working fine. My 223 has sent over 5000. The only way you will have degredation is if you are lazy and dont clean you weapon.
And yes they are called Suppressors but most do not Know the differance.

They actually increase the velocity of a bullet fired, so there's that. And unless they get too hot or can't come apart to clean they don't degrade.

"Silencer" is a trade name, so calling a suppressor from say Liberty, Yankee Hill or KAC would be wrong. Also Maxim's original was wildly different to what we use today, the only similarity is that it's shrouded by steel.
Ahroovi Apr 30, 2017 @ 5:55pm
They have been called silencers for years, and the ATF doesn't even acknowledge suppressors. They have them listed as silencers. The correct term, due to function would be suppressor though. Both can be used interchangeably, but those in the know call them suppressors.
This topic is really easy.

When I say years, I mean since they were originally invented.
