Render Distance?

Anybody know how to increase the render distance.
Me and my friend are doing a comp to try to get a headshot at 500 meters but the enemies disapear at 400 meters so anybody know how to increase the draw distance? I'm on ultra settings.

I think this must be a hardcore mode bug, because on normal mode people have aim assist and target marks stay over the npc´s head, on hardcore mode, that marks deseappear over they heads. i just get 501 m on rail , plus some places enemys spawn at 110 m but deseappear at 111m.

TOTALLY AGREE!
Got the same problems, sometimes you can trick with the drone to reappear targets.
But for long range shot >450m this doesn't work
Anyway it's kinda funny (some of the rescure people mission) you kill the mostly 3-4 enemies, start drone and they reappear which you can repeat unlimited until you get close enough and kill them on short distance.

It's good to see Devs come in here or moderators commenting on it. And great that you guys/girls are working on it! I can't thank you enough for listening to the community and having a voice about this yourselves. As I said I will wait for a fix. But I think the game overall is okey IMO. I would definately not give it a bad rating just because of this.

Increasing view distance comes with many complications along the road - like amount of RAM needed by the AI and the engine restrictions. But be assured we're still working on improvements like that. Furhter updates that will come alongside of the additional content will hopefully please you.

What if it was a option...instead of a forced thing. Like you can change how much further than normal it renders?

is the draw distance fixed? I don't mind if performance drops to 20fps if I have a slider I can use to control it, I just want to be able to do 800m shots, this is a sniper game after all.

I know this is quite old, still for me the issue persists.
@Adam_CIG you already have got the data of a snipers view field so have you thought about selectively increasing render distance based on this and the players zeroing distance (and only when in prone/crouch). I am quite familiar with CryEngine and think this should be "pretty easy".
As far as I know it would be possible to trigger rendering and AI behavior for this specific cone of view with the engine (depending on how many changes you already made to the rendering process).

Hey I have done some modding for SGW3 its up on NexusMods, one of which is a fix for the enemies despawning at 230meters
