Lost my save after 13 hours of game...

Came back to the game just to see the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ "New Game" tab and my save totally gone !
WTF !

After so many crashes and more than 30 hours played finding all stuff , I've lost my save...so bad I'm not going to start it again. Luckly was a cracked game so no money lost! :D Thats' the good thing about pirate games :D I've lost the game , but at least I've kept my money :P

Happened to me to, closed the game after playing for about 14-16hours straight! had 90%+ progress, I had closed the game and shut down for the night. Now my save is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ gone! ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ POS game ♥♥♥♥ all!

I'm going to guess that you're playing an outdated pirated copy that had the save wipe bug.

Yeah - original poster has same bug and he has this game on steam. so its ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ what you say

The original post is from almost 4 years ago when the game was first released. There have been several patches since that time which fixed the issue.

I just started the game a couple of days ago, completed the tutorial and started on the first real mission. Stopped after playing a while, but when I now try to continue, it starts over with the beginning of the tutorial.

Looking in the save location mentioned in this thread, reveals a few files, with date/time stamp matching the time I stopped playing. Files are the following:

default_main_GlobalData.CSF
default_main_GlobalData.meta
default_main_snowstorm_mission.CSF
default_main_snowstorm_mission.meta

Anyone have any idea if it's possible to get the game to pick up where I left of - I'll be damned if I'm going to do the turorial and presumably start all over again every time I want to play this

i thought starting new game ment adding new fresh save and the "yr progress will be gone" ment the mission i were in would restart not that my FULL game will absolutely delete with 1 click

I don't know if this is any help, or even the problem, but I have noticed after I quit SGW3 and it appears my game has shut down, then go to my steam library, it shows the game still running. If I wait several seconds it will finally show 100%. I have to wonder if when steam shows the game still running, it is saving the game to the steam cloud. If you close steam before it has finished, that would explain your save being gone. (Just a guess) It would be nice if the game had a save option, most games do.
