General Feature and Roadmap FAQ
Is there matchmaking?
No. At the moment we're focusing on the classic way where people select servers from a list and are empowered to host their own servers. We haven't yet decided how that will interact with our future player statistics. We're open to feedback on this.

Will there be more game modes?
At the moment, polishing the current core gameplay comes first. We have ideas for more game modes so it's mostly a matter of whether we can justify the time it takes to implement them. We are planning to add some optional tweaks to gameplay (mutators, augmentations, whatever you want to call them) based on community feedback. Some popular suggestions have been a "No Missiles/Flares" mode for those who prefer to focus on conventional shooting/flight skill more than the variety of tactics/skills that missiles introduce, and a "Bots vs Humans" mode for people who prefer a cooperative PvE experience. There are other fun ideas we'd like to try out if we have time, but for the moment polishing what we have is a higher priority.

Will other platforms be supported?
The game is curently Windows-only for now. We love the idea of porting, but it'll depend on how successful the game is. Our engine's last known ports were for PS3 and XBox360 so it might be a big undertaking to port to current-gen systems, and we have other priorities for now. As a side note, we've been told Proton on Linux handles the game reasonably well. Extra platform support compounds development time that could otherwise be spent adding new features.

Will there be a progression/unlocks system?
While the original idea was to not have any progression unlocks, enough playtesters have expressed interest in progression unlocks to make us rethink that position. :) We're a very small team so we won't be able to match the scale of anything like Fortnite or Apex Legends, but we'd definitely like to reward our players for their commitment to the game. We're looking to provide a number of cosmetic unlocks and customization options, and have started building that system out for release during our Early Access period. We also want to avoid resetting progression during or after early access. This means it would likely be kept in a limited form and have some kind of cap until full-release while we test it to reduce the chances of finishing an entire progression in an unbalanced scenario, and to ensure you still have things to look forward to after full-release.

Will there be micro-transactions?
There will be NO loot-boxes and NO pay-to-win mechanics. These sort of ethically questionable practices are absolutely out of the question in our minds. Some players have expressed interest in purely cosmetic content being available via micro-transactions, and that's something that we're potentially open to, with some caveats. Hypothetically speaking: If we do go down that path, there will be some things that cannot be bought and MUST be earned through game play. Our philosophy so far has been if you have more time than you do money, you should be able to unlock anything that can be bought. Conversely, if you have more money than time to commit to gaming, you should be able to purchase access to at least some earn-able content. We all have different commitments in life and we want to be fair and thoughtful about that. We're open to community feedback on this. Feedback we've heard so far is that FPS veterans in our age group (people with families to care for and people who are extremely busy) like to be able to pay to skip progression systems and access everything, whereas players with the time for it like the feeling of working through a progression system and earning the content with skill and dedication. We think that type of business model would be ethical and the best of both worlds. But to be very clear, absolutely no game-mechanics would be available for purchase, this would be strictly for cosmetic options.

Will there be modding?
This one is tricky. We love game modding! There are currently only 2 people working on the project, an artist and a programmer. The artist was a Doom 3 modder and the current programmer was a Garry's Mod modder, so we have an immense appreciation for mods. That said, we can't promise it at the moment, as there are a number of complications to overcome. However, it's on our roadmap to look into this because we think modding would play a positive role in game longevity.

When are you going to revoke it as a beta key? I would like to remove the beta product from the game and I cannot.
