Hook

Hook.exe is not responding
Hook.exe is not responding many times whether started directly or from the Steam client.
Then I have to end Hook via the Task Manager and start it again. I don't know why.

Yeah. Just purchased 1 & 2 and Hook (1) is hard locking my system, requiring a soft reboot to regain control. Refunding at this time. Will not leave a negative review as it is something that will eventually be worked out, I am sure. May come back and try it again in 6 months, or so.

Good Luck, Developers. :)

Game hard-locking PC usually means hardware or driver problem.

Yeah, I don't think so. I more suspect a problem with Unity than anything else. Given the number and types of games and other software I run on a daily basis.

Haven't seen reports about PC or game hanging except yours. If it was the game problem at least several users should've reported it already during 7 years since its release.

If it happened on multi screen setup I may be able to fix it.

My system has one screen.

Mine has several, and in my case it just doesn't show the launched game, despite playing the sound

When Hook.exe is not responding, it shows just a blank white screen. I have a nvidia gpu and I have Dynamic Super Resolutions (=resolutions higher than the native resolution of my screen) enabled and hook is automatically using the highest resolution available which on my system is a Dynamic Super Resolution. I can only turn off Dynamic Super Resolutions for the whole system (which I don't want), but not for individual games (while leaving this on for the rest of the system). I don't need the highest resolution for hook, the native resolution of my screen is fine. But hook does not give the choice to the user. So it would nice if hook does give this choice to the user. Other games can detect the supported resolutions on the user's system and present them in a list the user can choose which resolution to use. It would be nice hook does the same (in a future update).

Noted, will look into it. Thanks
