Songbringer
Missing 2 Sarira
I’m at 98% items now and there are no more purple outlines from the Ferret Drones left on my map yet I’m still not at 100%. It seems I’ve gotten every item except 2 of the Sarira, there are apparently 14 in total but I only have 12. Also I didn’t find out how to get these Sarira until late in the game so maybe it’s because of that. My world seed is SULKED. It’d be appreciated if Wizard_fu (the dev) would look into this. I really liked your game btw I just want to get 100%. Also there’s an area below the Songbringer room where you can teleport into that I can’t reach. For some reason I can’t use the map drons so I can’t actually see if there’s actually something up there or not. And how do the Lucid and Pellucid achievements work? I tried to go back to one of the dungeons and kill all enemies but that didn’t work.

Hello there. Some worlds have 14 Sarira and some have 12, so will need further investigation. If you send a Pastebin link to your Saves.txt then I can download it, play Songbringer with wizardly god-mode cheats, and determine what are the 2% missing items. (In other words, I need more than just your world seed to answer your question.)

Lucid will trigger when you have cleared any of dungeons 1-5 of all enemies and the boss. This has to be every single enemy, including those in secret rooms and tunnels. Pellucid works the same way except for dungeons 6-10.

I did not get the Enlightenment item so I’m definitely still missing at least 1 Sarira. I will send you the contents of my saves.txt soon when I have time. Also I read that Lucid and Pellucid are missable and will no longer trigger if you defeat a boss and then leave the dungeon, which will make it no longer available even if you come back and defeat all of the enemies, is this true?

Regarding Lucid / Pellucid, I took a look at the code to refresh my memory and be sure. The game checks for the achievement at multiple points. One of them is every time you transition from one room of the dungeon to another. So, if you have beaten the boss already it will only help you. All you have to do is re-enter that same dungeon and defeat all the enemies. It ought to trigger immediately but if it does not just walk to another room and it will check the completion percentage of the dungeon and when 100% it will give you the achievement.

In that case I'll try to get them again, I may or may not have forgotten about staircases and item rooms that might contain enemies. Here's my save file:

After testing out your world and looking at all the data, it appears you are missing a single Sarira item. It is located in dungeon 8. Just enter the dungeon and walk one screen to the right. Meditate or eat a cactus to trigger the Sarira and obtain Enlightenment. World location is 3,2,-8.

(Your world has 13 total Sarira and you already had 12.)

After getting that Sarira I got the Enlightment and 100% items so thanks a lot for that. However I still couldn’t get Lucid or Pellucid to work, either it’s really bugged or there are thing that I thought weren’t enemies. For one I have no idea if there’s any way to destroy those block traps that launch themselves at you when you get in front then move back slower toward their original position.

Glad you got 100%. W00t! Which dungeon number were you trying for Lucid?

I tried 1, 3 and 9 at least. Theoretczlly 10 should work cuz it’s mostly bosses and only a few enemies but it still didn’t work.

After enabling some debugging features and playing through your dungeon 1, I have identified a bug. Though you have defeated the boss and the Virlocke (enemy guarding the ability item), the game doesn't recognize these for the Lucid / Pellucid achievement if you return to the dungeon later to complete it. The only way to trigger the achievement is to do it on the first run.

I'm working on a fix. Will let you know when it's ready to be tried.

Okay, there is a fix uploaded to the beta branch. I've tested it with your world seed in dungeon 1 and was able to get the Lucid achievement.

Even though you've already defeated the boss and Virlocke, you'll need to revisit those rooms as you are defeating the other monsters in the dungeon. Revisiting those two rooms in addition to clearing all monsters will trigger the achievement.

Are you able to get the achievement using the beta branch?

I tested the beta branch and cleared dungeon 1 of all monsters and revisited all rooms and finally got Lucid. I was not able to get Pellucid to work tho I tried dungeon 7 and did the same but it didn’t unlock. I also tried dungeon 6 but it seems that whenever you take an elevator the enemies in the other floors respawn so that doesn’t work.

Glad Lucid triggered for you. Sorry Pellucid still gave you trouble. Your world's dungeon 7 has a lot of rooms to clear.

Okay, so I found and fixed another bug that was preventing Pellucid. It was related to boss switch rooms (your Dungeon 7 at 5,1,-7). The beta branch has been updated with the bug fix and I was able to get Pellucid to trigger.

Same rules apply. Just clear all the rooms (including those tunnels) and revisit the Virlocke, boss switch and boss rooms (in your Dungeon 7's case, it is both of the two adjacent boss rooms). You should be able to get Pellucid to trigger.
