I didn't follow this development at all (didn't even know there was a kickstarter). I don't actually play many VNs; I just saw this one on the store page and it looked half decent, so I gave it a try....
Now I'm slowly piecing together that this game looks more and more incomplete, and I can hardly find any info on it, so I assume mostly backers are in the loop. I even went to their kickstarter and home pages, but can only find things about the game being sold on Steam. Nothing about MG until I dig further into their updates....
So what, did I just buy an incomplete game that will never actually become whole? A beta? Who gets what and when?
Maybe I just buy from seasoned game devs, but I shouldn't have to work this hard to figure things out! XD The game definetly feels buggy and incomplete, and that's about all I can tell.
And as for 'adult versions' I'm even more at a loss, just how much of the game am I missing? XD There's nothing saying they have to do it, but what I see are Devs that release 'friendly' versions of their games on clients that don't allow 'NSFW' material, and then offer a free 'patch' (or workaround) from their site . . This does not look like one of those times, and it is irritating to have to jump through hoops when all I wanted was to play a complete game. Do I actually have to buy the game again to get the full version???
Hope this gets cleared up so at least I know!
But does that mean I can play the full version on Steam? Or is the Steam key just for show? So should I buy it on MangaGamer and await the Steam key that might not even be the full game?
What's going on?
Eh.. I think I'm just going to fight for a refund. Maybe even report this game. I just want to wash my hands of it. There has been no presence of the developer on this issue here and they did sell an incomplete game on Steam. It feels more like they're trying to play beat the clock and ignore the Steam community.
There's no reason why they wouldn't be updated to their own game's forum activity. This discussion has been here for the better part of a week. There's no reason why they couldn't just pin a quick statement from the company explaining things, unless they know they messed up and it'll get them into hot water. >.<
