We got a sharp one here! :P
lol.
Unless, the creators show their early designs of said character when the game was in its early stages then I can accept that if the said character was actually made by the creator himself/herself. Additionally, this said character could also apply to being part of an anime or light novel series but isn't actually part of the main story's timeline but he or she might be seen in a different timeline that can either be a continuation of the main series or a separate story but is in the same universe i.e. a spin-off or side story but again the original author has to confirm this information themselves and not just come from a fan.
