What's up with the price?
First of all i know that nobody is forcing me or anyone to buy it, but i was expecting 24 or maybe 20 but 44 canadian what the heck? Is it because of the amazing art? Or music? Or developpment time? Or quality/content? I read that it is only six hours for a playthrough, I do realise that everything is randomly generated but still, I got some roguelikes for less than 10 with everything randomly generated, anyways i'm still trying to choose wether to buy it or not because i'm a huge sci-fi and spacesims fan...

hey Vitowns,
It´s right - you can beat the game in 6 hours, but that is very unlikely in your first try. And even if you do so, you need to play it several times to see the whole content. In the beta were some testers who played up to 50 hours and didn´t even see all alien races, let alone discover their secrets and stories.

Nice so there's a lot of things to discover/unravel, that's good thanks :) On a side note I've read the system requirements, Do you think i could take a risk and get this game when i only use a gtx 550 ti?

Oh and speaking of everything is randomly generated - the galaxy is, but the aliens with their quests and stories etc. are all hand crafted and more randomly selected than generated.

I´m sorry, I´m not that much into hardware :/ I´ll ask someone and answer you soon !
They think they are hot, but it's backfired and they've sold 100 copies.
Where as if they sold it for half the price, they would have 1000+ at least.

Nice work greed!

It´s sounds risky with your gtx 550 ti, my only guess would be to try it, set all graphic options to low and if it´s not working and not playable for you, you have 2 hours of playtime or so to give it back

i believe they made 3 mistakes. first one is when i saw the game i couldnt place an order because it was not up for pre order. Goodbye to that impulse purchase.

i came back on release and saw the price. checking it against popular new releases and top sellers ->
2x of everspace, rimworld, rime
3x oxygen not included, pyre, factoria, subnautica
more than PUBG, endless space 2, vanquish
it is 10 times more expensive than genital jousting (which i believe developers need to play some because they looks to be "playing that game" with this games price point)
its cheaper than AAA titles yea (about %40-60 of them)... is that what you are comparing yourself to?
so there goes my logical purchase.
and 3rd mistake they let a negative subject dominate game discussions. seen this with recently released killers & thieves too. instead of responding to price topic they should have mentioned upcoming tighter controls and swift updates.

good luck getting back that mixed reviews up now :D

And why not post to a thread that is already titled Price? Instead of creating a new thread with Price in the title..

Because are you blind? The thread titled Price is about the OP asking what the price was, not saying what's up with it....

And did you read any of the post in it or just the op's post. There are numerous discussions in that thread, 13 pages as of now.

I do not think the game is expensive. Then it takes dollards so that the devteam can continue to enrich the game ^^

I could say the same thing about you, who are you to police my actions?

But why continue to create new threads on a subject that is already started and being discussed about the same thing the OP is asking rather than contributing to what is already being said.
