How to get past Spider Crab?
Okay so maybe i'm just dumb, but I can't figure out how to get past the spider crab early in the game.

Any suggestions?

There's a space behind you to stand in whilst the crab walks past.

Do the flares do any damage to creatures? Can you kill the crabs?

No, you can't kill the crabs. You have to avoid them. Flares or knives do nothing.

Flares can be used as a distraction, an in-game tip even stated so after one killed me.

I didn't have luck using them as a distraction honestly haha
