Hi, currently the game does not have multiplayer but we are working on this as an update. The plan is to allow players to pick their own opponents, rather than random matchmaking, so yes you will be able to play against your friends. Also players inside and outside of Steam will be able to see each other and set up matches.

What's the current status on multiplayer being added to the game?

Hi, multiplayer is coming together well. We have the lobby system working nicely and connecting players. The focus right now is maintaining a game and keeping everything synchronised, and also dealing with situations like players leaving the game. So there are still some challenges to overcome but we're working hard on them. We're also looking at having a ranking system too, so when you win games you gains stars and improve your reputation, which is visible to others in the lobby. This should help with selecting suitable opponents for your skill level.

Hi, no you dont need to add people in order to play. The MP interface works fully independently of Steam :)

Just a heads up to everyone that I think we've detected a few technical issues following the Steam roll-out and some of you may be seeing an empty lobby but are working hard to resolve them. We'll keep you updated on this.

Wow superb addition, looking forward to testing this out! Thank you Bulldog team for the continued support of the game :B1:

Will you be releasing any more content with regards to expanding the soundtrack, new graphics, or content?

Thanks guys. We've just uploaded a new build with improved lobby connection.

Tim, we've been asked about a few things such as extra bars/characters, soundtracks and a tutorial mode. No decisions made yet but would be good to hear everyone else's thoughts?

id say soundtracks not so important in snooker games if we want music we can just listen to our own while playing and as for tutorial mode well there great in all games cause we all start as begineers little help along the way is a nice thing :D

To counter that, I would love more chilled out jazz songs :D I would also like to see some more ball sets, table decals and once I've played more multiplayer maybe some tweaks :)

Are you guys thinking of going through the DLC route?

Thanks

Appreciate the feedback guys. For major content updates I think we would probably look at the DLC route, although we have another update planned very soon with more MP tweaks, improvements here and there, and some extra bonus Euro ballset colours too.

Hi Zero, the functionality is already in place for players to jump in the lobby and play with anybody. However, it does seem like the single player offline experience is very popular, and so gently coaxing people into using multiplayer is something we're working on, and expect the uptake will be gradual. We'd certainly recommend going into the lobby and enabling 'Push Notifications'. This will allow you to exit and go off to practice or play against the computer, then when a human opponent appears in the lobby, you get an alert.

One idea we're currently exploring is to have a supported MP mode, whereby computer generated AI players are allowed to enter the lobby, but with a marker to distinguish them from real players. Then at least we can ensure that you'll always be able to get a game at any time, day or night, and ultimately progress through the online mode to earn the trophy. In a way this is similar to the original Cue Club where we had Virtual Chat Rooms filled with AIs. Just an idea for now, but any feedback is much appreciated :)
