Multiplayer problem ?
Hello, bought the game for the missus and myself.
Tried to play a game over LAN but was impossible. First, if one of us was at the table, the other person couldn't click on "ok" to watch the action. Also, the game crashed a few times and taking turns was almost impossible. Needless to say, although, we never got to a third turn.
We're on a gigabit network with 2 decent pc's. Solo, the game runs fine.

Any idea what's going on ?

Hi, we attempted an update earlier today but there was a reported crash bug in it. This should now be fixed with a new update. So I would check you have the newest version running there on both machines. Go to the Steam Client, right click on Cue Club 2, then go to Properties, Local Files, Check Integrity. It's important that both versions are up to date (I assume they are both from Steam?). Also, just to clarify, multiplayer does use a remote server, so the LAN will still need internet access.

When you have a game started in MP, the active player at the table has control over the mouse. So there will be a small pause while your opponent sets up and plays the shot. Although if you click the left mouse button you should still be able to access the menu. Once a shot is played, it will execute on the other PC shortly after.

Hope this helps, but please let us know if you stil have issues. You can also reach out to us at support@cueclub.com. Thanks.

Hi,
Thank you for your advice and explanation.
I took a look at both our firewalls (symantec) and checked if cue club 2 was whitelisted.
We got to a promissing start with 3 turns, but then it failed again. We can live with a huge lag, no problem but :

* If I'm hosting, after about 3 turns my wife's screen tells her the connection has been dropped.
* If she's hosting, I never get the "start" screen and it's stuck on the countdown.

Everytime the same error on the other pc "connection to internet lost", which is totally untrue as she's still connected to steam, etc... . I'll take your advice and contact you on support@cueclub.com.

Hi, is Cue club2 still supported? I am not able to play multiplayer with my cousin, his game keeps timing out.
