Cue Club 2: Pool & Snooker

Cue Club 2: Pool & Snooker

Mac/Linux/SteamOS?
I love that bulldog brought this classic back to life. I'm only questioning if it would be possible to have ports to the other Systems as well? I mean it's not a very demanding game, I guess most computers could even handle some bult in wine configuration to play the game, like borderlands 2 did. Would be really great if we could play this game in the office etc as well ;)

Is anything like that planned or possible?

Hi Slevin, and thanks for the feedback. We would like to develop Cue Club 2 for new platforms and if the support is there we will certainly consider them, including those mentioned on your list. It would be useful to hear more thoughts from the Steam community on this?

wouldn't it be possible to drop in a basic wine configuration in the "beta testing program" on steam, so that users like me could test it on various platforms and give you feedback? I use all 3 operating systems (win 10, macOS 10.12, ubuntu 16.10) so I'm sure I could provide feedback on stability, performance etc.

Is cueclub 2 based on a famous engine or is it all in-house development? directx oder opengl?

not sure if steam allows links in here but using wineskin[wineskin.urgesoftware.com] could be basically enough to make it available on macOS. not sure about the licenses here but I guess you and your publisher have the guys for that.

Nice idea and when we can free up a little time we'll look into this some more. Thanks for the offer of beta-testing :) Cue Club 2 uses an internally developed engine running on DirectX. This keeps the code running super-fast even on more modest hardware setups.

Cue Club 2 Linux would be nice.
Any news on this?

Hi there. We've not yet managed to start developing a Linux version as we've been very focused on the PC updates recently, although it is still under consideration as we would like to bring Cue Club 2 to more platforms in the future. We'll certainly keep an eye on this thread so if people have thoughts on this please let us know. Thanks also for offering your help with beta-testing.

I definitely would like to play a Linux version. Years ago I played the 1st one a lot.

Would love a Linux version! We barely have any quality games in this genre on our platform.

+1 total support!

Vote for Linux support.

Looks like this works fine under Proton. Didn't have much time to test it, but game opens, and is playable. Did not try multiplayer.

I'm wondering, are there still any plans of making this game available for Mac/Linux? Thank you.

Hello Wheelman,

Linux support is via Proton, and I'm afraid at present there are no immediate plans for a native Linux / Mac version, but we will post news if anything changes on this in the future.

Understood; thank you!
