This game needs a mapping system or something
I keep not knowing where to go, just randomly seeking the correct path. The graphics are really nice, but because it reuses a lot of the same graphics it's hard to tell where I am.

Really could do with a mapping system.

I was just thinking the same thing, I have no idea what I'm doing anymore.

I kinda have quit playing after about 60% complete. Seems to be too much aimlessness, a mini-map would help so much.

It gets confusing around 50%, but it's doable if you have good memory. And yes, a map would have been handy

A mapping system would be really appreciated ;)

I agree on the need for a map. It's been really hard to remember which paths I've already taken, and which ones I haven't. At 92% though, so I guess I've muddled through somehow :P

It's getting really frustrating ... after you get all altars.. we need a map :\

When I JUST couldn't find that last patch of flowers I made my own map. Time consuming, but I found the flowers in a peripheral spot I'd passed by so many times!

stuck at the same spot too. i was really enjoying this game, and now suddenly it's aimless and confusing. I'd hoped it would be like ori and the blind forest, but it's just broken in it's current incarnation. almost unplayable once everything opens up again. it should at least come with a decent warning that it wont be completable without a lot of dedication and a really good memory. i don't expect this kind of frustrating difficulty from a metroidvania adventure story game

It's extra hard if you play in smaller bursts with lots of time in between (which is common to me). The game relies on your short-term memory of locations so when it shows a cutscene, you know where to go next. I've had to consult a video guide on more than one occasion just to remember WTH I just did and WTH I'm supposed to do next. =(

Yes, this game really needs a map system.. I won't buy it until developers not create one.. some times it seems really impossible to find the right path.

i'm so tired of just wandering around. i'm at 65%, the voice said the sanctuary is calling us, so i go back there and nothing happens. after wandering around for an hour after that, i'm pretty much ready to give up.

if it weren't for this aimlessness, the game would be great.

Although it is a trudge to get through, it's not necessarily hard. All you really need to do is know where you need to go, and yes, that is confusing if you leave for a while and come back or the like, but just simply think about what's left to do. The maps are not that complex, in fact, they're extremely linear, besides a few side paths (which aren't long).

It probably feels like a waste of time (and wandering around without an objective is). But just step back, look at what you've already done at the Sanctuary, then move on from there. Don't consult a guide unless it is an absolute must.
