Direct port from which version?

PS2 was the best version but I can't understand ♥♥♥♥ (I HATE when the menus are in english but everything else is on japanese. Almost feels like a mock. I mean, if they took the time to translate SOMETHING they could've also translated EVERYTHING). Anwyay. Rants aside, I played the Dreamcast one. And it was awful.

Anything else I should know? Any input lag? Street Fighter Anniversary Collection suffered from this. Cheers!

It's based on the original Arcade/Neo-Geo version. Playstation 2 port of the game was Japanese exclusive. PS2 version also runs alot faster than the original arcade, which may be a blessing or a curse depending on things and how used you are to the original.
