Conditions to fight Kain

Does anyone know the conditions require to fight Kain in arcade mode? I don't wanna be stuck ending my runs with Grant.

In Story mode you can use continues and still fight Kain, only exception is Rock who mustn't use a continue, and musn't die to Grant obviously. I've also heard that your rating should be at least AAA but I don't know If that's true or not. If you don't fit in these you get a cliffhanger ending and won't get any achievement. IIRC you can use continues with Kain without repercussions though.

Not sure what the exact requirements are, but as long as you don't lose a round odds are very high you'll face him.

2. never lose.

You can lose. I just lost with Terry Bogard on Grant, got a continue defeated him and faced Kain and got the achievement.

The condition is only the average grade. To average well, defeat opponent fast, preferably end with a super move. Also, using just defend and guard cancel improves your grade.

You don't have to drag it out anything, and they aren't mutually exclusive either.

If you are unable to fight Kain even with the game set to level 1, you need to come out of coma and learn how to play the game.

Good scores are the key.

Beat your opponents fast and without losing much energy.

But honestly, this should not be hard.

The only way for me to have Grant as final boss in this game (or Yamazaki on FF3) is by sabotaging my own performance. Having the game set to 1Round, with a fast timer (45 seconds), and always winning by time over. This is the REAL challenge.

Lvl 8, no round lost and P power finishers. AAA and no Kain

The never lose requirement is only for Rock the rest of the cast is fine
