GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES

GAROU: MARK OF THE WOLVES

Super strict execution?
I like to think I'm pretty decent at execution. All the common stick motions are basically second nature for me by now.
But in both this game and KoF 2002? I have extreme difficulty doing double qcf.
The only way I can successfully do double qcf is the slow way. qcf, return to neutral, qcf.
Is there some sort of trick to do it faster? Or do I gotta train myself to return to return to neutral every time.

I was looking for that option but couldn't find it.
Will check again later

There is no input display. As for your question, Garou is a super lenient game when it comes to execution, which means, your execution isn't as good as what you thought it was.
Time to spend some time in training mode, good luck!

Hmm. Maybe I'm just not used to how old SNK games play.
Because something like crouch HP to super should be a super easy confirm but I mess it up a lot.
Will lab it out!

Your not the only one. I play heaps of fighting games and I haven had this much trouble in execution in a long time. What do you play on?

I use arcade stick.
And yeah I feel that too. Usually muscle memory just carries over between games.
But in Garou and KoF 2002 I have to try much harder to do stuff like double qcf.

I think the game expects you to do a perfect qcf?
Gotta make sure you ACTUALLY hit down forward during the motion. Can’t skip it and go directly down -> forward.
Which I’ve been sloppily doing in every other game I’ve played.

236, 23 + button works with most of the supers in the game.

I've been practicing it and getting it more consistently.
Gotta really focus on ROLLING the stick instead of just twitching it from down -> forward.
What do you mean by the numbers tho?

I feel that in this game we need to do the stick motions slower than usual. If I do double qcf too fast it often doesn't register. Since my execution is usually fast in fighting games I had to slow myself down in this one.
Played since 2005 and imo the word Xecution must be paired with the word buffering.

Buffering is the key to win. Many times you can buffer when ur on wake-up. Try buffer faster/slower earlier than you tought etc.

Train in practice mode and do your chars break move 25,50 or 100 times without failing.
Do it on block and non block because its different timing.

The feint parts a horrible nightmare in this game, if you do 3 or more be happy!

(After 2 feints, the sync and the xecution changes slightly, dont forget to dash)

I also played KB all my years and trust my words, KB is better than the stick!

Dong Hwan is the best :bar_lucky:

this game req. that the qcfx2 is complete when the hitbox appears.

for example: low B connects, when the animation of the blow comes out then you should have done the second of the qcfx2 exactly when the hit is confirmed. Its very tight window sometimes, but keep practice :D

Try also thesame and connect a qcfx3 with Dong Hwan for example.

Just curious if the OP ever got their execution down, same deal for me... im just too slow on the right side to cancel into super consistently unless im jumping in...
