Which port of Garou: Mark Of The Wolves should i buy?
I still have my ps2 import copy of the game but this game also came out recently on the psn store for PS4 and PS Vita which i believe can play with one another. Just curious about which version runs better.

Don't buy this port. Buy the PS4/PSVita one. This port sucks, a lot.

Cool man. Thanks for the heads up.

GGPO/Fightcade version is the best.

Such a shame this great game got this poor treatment. I guess i'll just save my money and play my import copy or the ggpo/Fightcade version.

Online is fine here.
Rollback Netcode

Weirdly no ranked match option, player match only.

Hearing alot of bad things about the PS4 and Vita port... and the Fightcade one you have to look for people the hard way (forums, etc) just to find someone to play with. Best bet is realistically this one.

Dont buy this one nor the Humble Bundle one. Both are done by DotEmu.
Is just a bad port with sound/input delays and no way to remap the button layout.

MVS. ;)

It is possible to remap the buttons now, in the option menu.

Interesting... guess they are supporting the game then.

Did they fix the sound bug in training mode as well?
djsiegfried Dec 7, 2016 @ 12:58pm
There is no music in training mode. And there is sound delay.

The online mode is soooo simple. There is no option to send a message or to see your opponent's nickname in the battle. ( After the first battle you cant remember your opponent name.. lol )
After playing the Steam/DotEmu version online for over 2 hours, and then seeing how horrible the PS4/Vita version is for people who have a great connection here:
https://youtu.be/wPMXEUMO3mc

I'd have to recommend the Steam/DotEmu version over it, hands down. The netcode for the PS4/Vita port is absolutely horrid. And there's something about the graphics that seems, idk, off? I notice the widescreen on the PS4/Vita port is better than the DotEmu Steam one but it's still seeming to be quarter stretched and you may notice a blur like type filter sometimes happening when playing online, which I take as unnatural.

Its true that the modes and features are lacking in the DotEmu port. Hopefully they add some online rank mode and other features in the future to flesh out this port. Still, very happy.

Can confirm the controller mapping has been fixed although it does not read the back triggers of my X360 controller and you can only map one command per button.
