Utter nonsense
If this keeps the same mechanics as currently in the MMO, PvP is going to be highly disappointing. The time investment required to build up a settlement, or the time to tear it down is based around an MMO play style. Wurm is not designed for small scale pvp games like Minecraft, which one of Wurm's developers split of to create. This barely functions as an MMO and I highly doubt any private servers are going to gain enough of a following to function.

If you're looking for a sandbox world builder alternative to the likes of minecraft however, sure.

most people don't do the pvp anyway, I think this is a great idea and I'm looking forward to it :)

oh also, you can change te rates, so it won't take all that long to build something.
and this is all completely sepperate from the mmo, it won't hurth it, rather benefit it.

We might gain 100-200 people, but the servers cant handle that many extra people, the forums cant handle that many more people, the forums are already crashing with guests! Pile of ♥♥♥♥.

We hope that PvP on the MMO servers might get a boost if players feel they can learn the game in a safe sandbox.

If the rates are adjustable like in ARK: Survival Evolved players can customize the game mechanics to their own preference, so you could make it more fast-paced. That's what I especially like about this.

I like this idea, cheap wurm online no more micro managing payments. I can play with less lag, i can look for mods for the game so it is better. I can keep my progress safe forever without hoping rolf never shuts down. There is no reason to play WO anymore. I cant wait.

Hey sure! I guess it helps when Rolf removes the limitations again so the pvpers can once more ra-pe the carebear servers! Boy, that was such a fail....
Also the day where I finally stopped to trust and support Rolf.

You forgot the best part, being able to play without having to deal with OP and his ilk.
