Improving tools not working
I can't seem to improve tools with lumps anymore. I get the message "metal needs to be glowing hot while smithing." The metal is glowing hot and quality 14, the tools are new and level 1-5. This has been just the past couple of days. Hovering over the lumps I get the tooltip "It is glowing from heat."

This is a newer adventure server that I started to play with a family member 2-3 days ago. Maybe my smithing isn't high enough?

Thanks guys. I'm an idiot and forgot that the tools needed to be heated also.

tip on smithing get a forge too around 30 too 45 QL from there Lite it up and use "peat" too fuel the forge 1 peat = 20 KG of fuel thats the max you can fuel a forge before waste

leave the tool in the forge and imp the tool in the forge
if you need to temper it with the water icon have a small barrel in your bag activete the water and you can temper that way this way you never reall have trouble with imping tools at this time they are ALWAYS glowing

Thanks LoveLessAeris - I wondered what the peat was used for. I keep that small barrel of water right next to the forge along with a box of kindling, wetstone, logs and rock shards for improving tools. Usually have 3-4 windows open at once to move things around quickly.

I kinda use that same thing with loading dirt or rock. Just pull the wagon up close to a pile and can move tons of dirt quickly. Really speeds up the terraforming.
