Cotton
Is cotton supposed to be near impossible to find ? I have now spend hours irl Botanizing and Foraging grass ( In-game wurmpedia says Botanizing, but wurmpedia.com says Foraging ) with no luck. I have already found 2 rare coins. One would think cotton should be more common than that.

Mm your having really bad luck it would seem, try foraging/botonizing in open fields...not sure it will help but with your luck finding cotton cant hurt? ;)

Then as soon as you have two, sow one of them to grow more. You can also make healing covers from some of the other items you have foraged/botanized, plus make a salve from fat and garlic to use on bruises.

So basically, just keep at it :D lol... thanks. Just needed to know Im not doing something wrong, or have something in my server setting that need adjusting. Playing Adventure mode on my own.. I am in a wide open field with plain grass tiles almost as far as the eye can see. So walking that up and down, leaving piles of the stuff as I go along, making nice markers so I know where I been.

Sometimes different tiles have better chances of finding certain materials and other times it seems completely random. Trying to find woad on grass is annoying, but go to steppe tiles and I find loads of it, next day I go steppe foraging and find nothing but wemp and herbs. Some tiles can only be botanized/foraged if you have a certain level in that skill.
So it may just help sometimes to try another tile type. :)

Alright, thanks for the tips. I will see if I can find some Steppe tiles as well and switch between that and the grass and see if I have more luck.

Semi-related question, how do you make healing covers? A lot of items I forage say they can be used to make healing covers, but I don't see a recipe in the list and can't find more specific instructions in the wiki.

with healing covers.....you save the 3+ stuff you forage and can user them for better healing covers to take care of med or worse wounds. The wiki lists all the stuff here.

Sage(3) Lovage(4) Rosemary(4) are good ones can use them together if you want. tooth(4) and gland(5) are the premo stuff. you can also use mushrooms with 3+ rating as well. You can use the lower value stuff if you have too, but I always use 3+ rated ingredients.

Gland(5), tooth(4), lovage(4) and rosemary(4) best low weight stuff to make covers. sage(3) and also eye(3) is right below them and low weight as well. eye tends to spoil though and cannot be bulk saved like the others.

To make a healing cover, activate one of the items. Right click another one of the items and there should be an alchemy->mix action.
