I'm getting really pissed of this message. Every place I find that looks good to start my deed is always as title. As the screeshot show I'm really far from any other town, I'm in the middle of a plain and there's NOTHING around, I even explored the entire peninsula, the top section and the east mountains, NOTHING. I want to choose where to build my deed on my own server, even if I'm factionless and I don't even understand how to know beforehand when I'm too close to something, moving around takes tons of time and I barely have 1 hour a day to play.

I'm no expert on PvP servers but I can think of two possibilities

First there is a Horde of the Summoned guard tower not too far away south from the spot you marked and although you are outside the kingdom influence it may be too close.

Secondly and perhaps more likely you said you aren't in a faction yourself, I believe you cannot found deeds outside of your own Kingdom infuence on PvP servers.

If you only want to build things and not join in the Kingdom wars you may want to play on the Creative server where all the land is one Freedom Kingdom and you can deed anywhere.

I assume this is your own personal server. Either turn off home server or change the home server kingdom to your own. Otherwise, you could dual-box a GM character to found the deed then trade it to your main character. If you want to forego those entirely, you'll probably have to build a guard tower (or more if you need more coverage).

@Keyboard Crusher, I'm not using home server, and I'm Kingdomless. I tested yesterday that I can GM cheat a deed, but it's unpractical with friends. We want different factions, but also to be to build pretty much anywhere. As you see from my stats new carachter start with 1 in every skill and 4 in every stats, multiplayer is default 3. Building a tower or destroying one in the beginning is sci-fi 😟.

@Explora, I will double check for a tower where you said. I was allowed to build a deed in a completely different spawn point (I don't know where, I died before finding out).

Don't creative server have a whole sets of rules like unlimited money, resources or other cheats? I don't want anything that might reduce the difficulty / challenge...

Creative is simply an untouched map. You can set it to PvE or PvP... it's not like Minecraft Creative.

You mean that it's a map with factions, but where factions don't have any native base or tower, you will have to join a faction and build the factions' structures and all other mechanics are untouched? In this case I believe I might like this solution. Thanks

The problem is, in a creative server how do you purchase a trader contract if there's no trader to buy it from? And how do I start a creative server?

You have to have a GM account spawn in the first trader. (And make sure trader contract sales are enabled in the GM options window).

In order to start a creative server, you can either select the 'Creative' server in the dropdown menu of the server GUI, or go through the process of using another map that someone has made and posted. Most of the maps people have made are on the wurm forums in the Mapping & Modding section. You can also find instructions for map installation there. ^.^
