- Start the game and press the "manage server" button.
- Press the "start server" button on the second window that pops up. You can set a password in the "local server" tab but you need to do that before you start the server.
- Wait for a few seconds for the server to load.
- Back in the first game menu when you first started the game click on the "LAN" tab and your server should be there and double click or click once and click "connect."
After 13-14 hours in adventure I just watched some of the videos from this thread and going to start a new creative world. Explained a lot of little things I didn't know or didn't understand how they worked and will end up saving a lot of time just learning the basics - http://steamcommunity.com/app/366220/discussions/0/483368526586280449/

No matter what I do the server doesn't show up in the LAN tab.
I can join a internet server without any problem but I really want to try this game out in single player.
My memory may be a little hazy, but I don't think the 'Start Offline Server' option existed back then.
You have to wait a bit (the exact time will depend on your system) until after the "Server is connected to Steam" message appears in the server status window.
Yeah, I see that in the window but it still doesn't show up in the LAN tab. I've just tried the "Connect by IP" option and the game started but I don't know if that's my single player server.
Just tried it with the firewall turned off and still no dice.
Try going to the Local Server tab and deleting the Server External IP Address, then go back to the "Select Game Database" tab and try to "Start Server". Once I did that, the server was now showing up in my LAN Server list.
I tried that but it didn't work.
Thanks for the help guys.
Take a look at the wurm.log.0 file located at C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\Wurm Unlimited\WurmServerLauncher\Adventure\Logs (assuming you have a standard installation). What, if any, exceptions are being reported?
