Cannot make Anvil
Hello I am a newbie to this game lol... trying to figure out the ropes but I ran into an issue I don't know what I am going wrong at...

So I have been looking at the vids n all that but I can't make the anvil I am prolly missing something obvious but I kinda dunno anymore I have tried using diffrent levels of heat on the lumps but alas it does not work...

You need to heat the lump in a furnace of some type! A campfire works in a pinch.

to the point of glowing with heat yes I have tried that but I still wouldn't come up :(

wurmpedia.com will help in most recipes... There are two anvils small and large. Small will need to be made first... Heat your iron ore up until is glowing hot. Then take your mallet or hammer and activate that by double clicking on it. (you did make one right?) Then right click your iron lump and goto create > tools. You may fail and have to try a few times to make it depending on skill. You also need at least 2 kg of ore to make it. The event window should give you a message as to what is wrong if it still doesn't attempt.

I just noticed that you have no items listed in your crafting window... that's definitely odd.

You can try to do it without the window - activate the mallet, right-click on a glowing lump of iron, and Create > Tools > Small Anvil

Do you get any recipies at all in your crafting window?

As far for crafting everything is fine up to carpentry,woodcutting farming and such I was able to lay a foundation of my house but as I need nails I need to get my metalcrafts working.

The steps your doing look correct but I did notice you have a GM wand... I have seen lots of posts about haveing issues with regular player type things failing in GM mode... have you tried setting your rights back to 0 to verify its not the GM mode causing it?

Ok did as you said put my gm rights to 0 afterwards restarted the server the gm wand still their btw but it does not seem to change anything

and yes I have verified wether or not I saved my player gm settings are 0

you could try the normal way and right clicking the lump with the malet activated.

Well haven't gotten that far but carpentry isn't being an issue its all their cart parts,building materials etc etc

Well I fully restarted my game and server after I changed my GM rights it just doesn't seem to wanting to work :/

It could be due to too low of skill. Some recipes just won't show at all until a certain point, but I swore a small anvil was a trivial one.

If you're on a GM and don't mind the cheat, try setting your Blacksmithing up a bit?
