What skill? What level?

I've been playing on the creative server for several weeks to learn the game and see how things work. i'm getting frustrated with the constant message that I don't have the skill to do things. Is there a site that has a compilation of what level of skill we need to do things? Example: I just tried building a spiral stone slab staircase after working paving skill to 40. It wouldn't let me do it. Can't build stone fences on steep slopes because I don't have the skill. My masonry skill is in the mid 50's.

wurmpedia.com has all the known infos o the game

You can also access the wurmpedia directly in the game (using the H key and typing the topic). It won't give the nice formatted webpage, just a box with text, so some things will definately be easier to read in a browser.

In-game Wurmpedia is using special Wiki pages created specifically for it. On the other hand, I have to agree that it is better to use the browser one (alltrough I have some in-game browser improvements in mind).
