I doubt that if Wurm 2 will ever happen because today people want things quick and easy. Now you can order things online with a click. People play games on thier phone that last only minutes. So buyers and gamers are changing.
That does not help those of us that want a crafting system that is complex, but so satisfying.
Still I hold on and hope someone will find a way.
Yeah someone mention that to me other day, that if you are looking for another Wurm experience, should try Valheim. So i havent tried it yet. Would like some feedback though.
i also doubt they will add a lot more to the crafting but who knows.
Just really over hyped at the moment.
wurm has the deepest carfting i know in games
i think wurm would have been way more popular if the combat was better and skills and gathering in general was much faster
Graphics and combat are very dated and that's what put a lot of people off playing. My friend said it was great as far as crafting goes, but the dated graphics made him feel like he was playing an old 80's game and the combat is very much like something out of a turn based system.
It would be even better if they added VR to it as well. That's really becoming the new standard for games, loads of people are looking for games that have a VR option as well. It's one thing playing a game while looking through a virtual window at the world around you, it's another when you're actually there in the world playing it.
Yup, i agreed. Just too plain and i wanted to play a amazon, using a large wooded shield and a long spear. But that aint gonna happen. But for the mods, kinda hard to locate and some are unstable. Just wish they would put more efforts into this, but they abandoned this and work on WO instead.
It seems Wurm Unlimited has a larger player base than Wurm Online.
At 123 with just over 500 active players, it enters the top charts with Wurm Online so far down that it's not even mentioned.
I guess it's time to think about Wurm 2 and bring it up to date, leaving the 1980's graphics and lousy combat system behind.
I would really love to see it happen, I feel that the depth of crafting in Wurm is second to none, it would be such a shame to see a game with so much thought put into the crafting side disappear into oblivion.
Hi there, Valheim is nothing like Wurm, it's in the mould of 'quick and easy'. It's a decent game but I only played a few hours before something was missing... hard to put my finger on. If anything Valheim is a bit like ARK (but easier).
If you're after crafting I suggest Rising World where you can modify every single plank or beam to how you want it.
