GTX Gaming server setup? Got the server and...thats about it!
Hello everyone! I just got my own GTX server for fun, and was looking foward to set it up and everything. Not that I am very terrabad at these kind of things. So. I am at the point where I got the server now but...how do I make a GM char? How do I add admin? How do I do things? Change rates? Ive browsered the web for an hour now and I do find guides on personal servers, but nothing that have helped me out with this particular problem sofar. Anyone who is the wiser?

The settings are SQL based so unless you have an undestanding of the language/coding and can adjust the settings yourself, you could ask the server host to enable GM stats (lvl 1-5) to your selected GM toon. (this is the route i followed) then when you "need" to perform a GM task you can simply log onto that character.

When you load up the launcher, there is a button to open the dedicated server. Once you click that button, 2 boxes will appear. One is a "DOS Based" window and the other one is the server settings. From there you can set up the server as you would like to. Once you have all your settings the way you like, click "start server" and then go into "LAN" from the main launcher and you should see your server there.

In order to make a GM character, make sure you log into your server with the character you want to have the GM with. Log out of your server and then shut down your server. Re-launch the server and then goto the last tab in the server settings. highlight the character you want to have the GM settings and change the number to 5. It does sound a little confusing, but thats how I was able to do it.

Hope this helps!
