multiple animals for carts / wagon

from what i can find to read, you can only tame one animal... does this apply to horses/bulls etc for the carts? or is there a way to have more than one yourself to hitch up?

I have never found a need to tame an animal for myself. As for my carts and wagons I just carry four ropes, lead each animal on different ropes and then hitch them to the wagon. To use the different ropes just double click the top one, right click the animal and select lead, double click the next rope in your inventory and do the same again and repeat.

oh awesome, i knew how to lead them , but had tamed it first as I read somewhere that a hitched animal that becomes untame will unhitch and turn aggressive, assumed that meant had to be tamed to hitch to start with lol.

You can make a halter rope that leads multiple animals with just one rope.

That's the first I've heard of a halter rope, is this vanilla or from a mod?

Halter rope was added recently and can lead 4 animals at once (dopn't have to be that same type of animal either).

Do I understand, you can hitch more than 2 animals, via Yoke, to a cart?

The small cart is pulled by a person, large cart can be pulled by I believe a person or up to two animals and the wagon can be pulled by up to four animals. Don't need any extras added onto a completed cart to get any extra animals hitched.
