How does game run on Linux?

Hi all,

Does Wurm Unlimited run fairly stable on Linux? Thinking of purchasing the game. Have fond memories of Wurm Online from when I was younger.

Running Ubuntu 16.04 64bit with a 256GB SSD, nVidia 970 GTX and an AMD FX-9590 4.7Ghz. I tried Wurm Online via the website to test and I pull 30 - 50 FPS on max settings (not great, but Wurm Online never did run that great on any of my systems in years past).

Will I see something comparable with Wurm Unlimited? Just want to make sure before I drop $30 on it.

Also,
Anyone have any suggestions for server specs? I'm probably going to try my hand at hosting my server in a headless linux install via the cloud.

Hello,

Both Wurm Online and Unlimited are made with being multiplatform in mind, so you can expect them to run the same on every supported system. Wurm Unlimited should have comparable performance to Online. :)

Update for any fellow Linux users:

Happy to report Wurm Unlimited is running great on on Ubuntu 16.04 so far. Pulling 70-95 frames in starter adventure area with most main graphics settings on Max and An. Filtering at x16.
