Planting Woad

I'm trying to plant woad in a flower pot as covered in Wurmpedia, but it doesn't seem to work in the same way as other herbs I've planted. I'm activating the woad plant I've gotten by botanizing, and right clicking on my pottery planter, and I get a plant menu option, but selecting it doesn't do anything. The woad plant doesn't appear planted in the pot, and doesn't disappear from inventory. I've check to see if I can extract seeds from the woad plant, but get nothing.

Anyone else have success here? What am I doing wrong?

You need to use a regular pottery planter[www.wurmpedia.com] pot, the same kind you use to grow herbs in. (Made by firing a clay planter[www.wurmpedia.com].)

A pottery flowerpot[www.wurmpedia.com] can't be used to grow woad.

Yes, that is what I'm using. I've already grown many herbs, but I'm having no luck with woad.

Are you using any server plug-ins that may interfere with planting?

If not, you may want to try getting Bdew's "Better Farming" mod: https://github.com/bdew-wurm/betterfarm/releases

Woad is not plantable in planters unless you are running a mod that adds it. Check the mod list on the server you are playing. If you do not see "more potables" it is likely that you cannot plant woad.

Wurmpedia says it can be planted in pottery planters. Is this a Wurm Online feature that is not available in Wurm Unlimited?

Yes, that would be a recent change to Wurm Online that never made it into Wurm Unlimited.
