There are differences for sure, but a lot of game aspects are similar and not voxel to be fair
I appreciate the suggestion, though. I've just looked into that one already and been sadly disappointed :(
i personally could not remotely care less about developers.
really if I recall correctly the only thing that really needs updating is the wikipeida
other then that, all games eventually come to a point where development stops
that all said, its the closest 'like wurm but with high graphics' I can think of.
and this is absoluitly positively NOT the game to play if you want active development...like by a loooong shot
My issue with LIF is that it started as the SP game and then they abandoned it to do the MMO version. They used the SP to basically alpha their MMO and that's deceptive AF and I don't like it. The SP game was never properly finished before being dropped.
As for Wurm? It's ancient, I get that, lol. I expect nothing from the devs (for this) - the goose is long since cooked and it was delicious :)
Just saying I wouldn't mind then roasting another ;)
like I said,
- I could not remotely care less about developers, at all.
- just saying this game is not being worked on in case you did not know is all.
-Life is Feudal is the only game I can think of that is realistically similar to this game but with high end graphics.
-Other games like Medieval Engineers is kinda sorta maybe but not really
There is one (I dont recall the name) that is under dev now but I typically do not put a lot of faith into games that are not released already. If I see something that is not released I just assume it will never happen.
Chronicles Of Elyria maybe the one you are thinking of?
Pity they aren't making a controllable server mode instead of doing the whole mmo thing. That's one part of what I loved about WU. Simply put: massive MP games are usually awful experiences, as are just... well... public servers. The ability to have servers that are actively moderated and controlled/refreshed is amazing.
CoE went to crap years back with lots of issues all of which related to the developers and the CEO Jeromy Walsh moreso than the game. It is, as of March, officially a lost cause, though many of us recognized that fact long before it was made official.

I do tend to get hair spike on the back of my neck when I hear something that is wrong.
Life is Fedual first started as an MMO project, not as a single player server project. i dont know (or care) which was released first but the intent from the start was MMO
Re: LiF being a planned mmo thing - they really shouldn't have done a smaller scale game they intended on abandoning before it was really finished then. Leads me to really not want to support them.
MMO's despite the obvious appeal for this kind of game, do have a tendency to implode though due to the short brutish and nasty nature of most people. Smaller scale MP communities with enforcers are much better imo. Part of why WU is nice! With a newer engine I could see it having a much larger player base (see: ark, conan, atlas, etc), although I 100% get that it's not gonna happen. Still wanted to voice my support for the idea :)
the problem is you have your facts very wrong to start with.
Life is Feudal from the start was always focused on being an MMO. It was an MMO project, the 'your own' was an after thought.
which was released first is not relevant but what I am saying in which was the first intent is.

During the late winter of 2014, the indie team - which later became Bitbox Ltd - had created a working tech demo for the concept of Life is Feudal: MMO, showcasing many of the main gameplay features, such as real time multiplayer, terraforming, and objects construction.
I just hope it comes from smaller / indie company rather than from any of the Triple-A companies. I'd rather have player hosted servers, modding along with not so overly polished gameplay that has some proper complexity and depth.
