question about taming pets
looking around the wiki i found a couple things..

Animal Husbandry
The number of animals you may care for is determined by your Animal husbandry skill level.
1 animal may be cared for plus 1 additional for every 10 skill in Animal husbandry.

Animal taming
You can only have one pet at a time; so if you have a pet and tame another, your first pet will become untamed.

this seems like conflicting information... with a high husbandry skill it seems that one should be able to have more than one pet....

can i get a lil clarification on this please ;o)

cared for animals =/= pets

caring for, allows the animals to live past normal venerable age
pet you can command to move to certain places and attack things

Animal Husbandry skill = cared for animals total amount.
Regarless of AH skill, pet = 1 max.

someone should make a mod that fixes this for PVE servers. No reason you shouldn't be able to have more than one pet, it was only put that way because in PVP it was OP>

so does that mean i have to tame each hose or pack mule to haul a different cart each time?

To hitch an animal to a cart, you just need to use a rope on them, then hitch them. There are some animals that need tamed first of course like a bear, unicorn , etc.. But like a horse or buffulo, just rope em and hitch em.

thats helpful at least ;o)

the way that i was reading that was like... wow you gotta retame anything if you want more than one animal..
soi much easier haha

makes sense tho.. i can see where having an auntrage of pets would deff be OP in PVP

There are modded servers where you can hitch your pets to the carts that normally can't be hitched to a cart. I had a pig hitched to a cart to pull me around once. The map was so large there, horses pulling a cart could easily average 36km/h or faster so you could travel around the map easier. It’s fun to see what wurm modders do to the base game, but sometimes it makes what is on what wiki obsolete.
