harvesting from a herb clay planter

anyone know how this is done or is there a tool requierd

You plant the herbs in the planter, then wait. And wait. And wait. And when they've grown enough you have the option of picking them. I just build a ton of planters and fill however many planter racks I can and then check them once a day. No tools needed.

i thought they were takeing there time to grow guess just have to waite a bit longer but you said 'planter racks' are they a thing now?

Yep, Why leave dozens of planters scattered all over when you can simply put then in racks? If you put say 10 of on herb, 10 of another and 10 of a third (don't remember how many fit) you can simply select one stack of herbs, choose pick and take care of the entire stack with one click. It's way more convenient than picking each individual planter.
