Question about maps and the game world.
First of all, I know NOTHING about WO, only WU here on Steam. I've played the game for a little while now, survived my first few days and got the basics down. However, I have not moved away from my spawn point at all, as I was okay with the area. When I hit M, it seems I'm located somewhere in 'Heavenord', which I assume is one of two default maps, with Ocrea being the other. Any ways I can locate my specific point on the map?

Secondly, there's also a map of what I can guess is the entire planet. I'm not familiar with the lore behind this at all, but are any of these maps visitable? I've seen people mention 'Xanadu' online somewhere, but I am clueless with how to change maps, or which maps are official.

PS. I am in Adventure mode currently, and would like to check out this quest I was given from the conch at some point. I'd like to locate myself first though, so I can head back to my house when I am done.

Best suggestion I can give you is to download the livemap mod and the compass mod, and install those. They will make your life a lot easier, and give you want you are looking for. The Giant map doesn't show location as far as where you are at all. WU is kind of unforgiving that way.

As Tesinato said the map does not show your exact location. The mods mentioned will help significantly in being able to figure out where you are, but they do not show you precisely where you are on a world map sort of view.

As for the other maps, Xanadu is the largest map in wurm online, and not incorporated in unlimited. There are a host of maps created by the community you can install, but generally speaking you will only have access to one at a time. Servers can be set up to be linked so that you can travel between them and can have different maps (what world map you saw was probably the wurm online server cluster), but it's a somewhat complicated processes that some have had issues getting to work properly.

Since this post I've dug around for info and I've figured some parts out. Right now I'm just carrying on as usual but on a Creative copy.

What's the deal with Valrei? Is it just a little thing to watch and keep an eye on/cheer for your diety or something?

valrei is another map in a map, i guess you can call it, you get missions to do from either the NPC or from the deities, since i dont have the whole "religion" bit switched on i dont know all the details. (if your running a dedicated server there is an option to switch on EPIC, again i dont use epic so i dont know all the details on that one) i'm a creative person so i am only focused on creativity.
