(please, someone help her)
Actually, depending on your answer I should be able to make you a video that shows you exactly what to do. So all you have to do is book mark it and I will go through it step by step as if I am explaining how to do it to one of my younger nieces and nephews.
IE often how I have to have it explained to me. I'll subscribe to this thread and watch for your response. :)
The game doesn't really offer enough instructions imo, I've had to use the wurmpedia wiki a ton. Just googling stuff like "wurm how do I farm" and stuff like that has been a lot of help.
The default adventure settings are mostly okay. There's a few things that are far too slow for me. You'll probably have to change how quickly farm tiles grow for example, if you are playing on your own server that you turn off when you are done.
I hope you come back and answer some of Selenity Rose's questions, they sounded like they could give a helpful answer. I know I'd like the help as well.
As for objective - wurm really doesn't have one - adventure maps are made for multiplayer and don't respond well on Single-player, and Creative Database (which I use), isn't really what it sounds like; both modes you have to worry about basic needs/mobs/health/etc - the difference is Adventure Database is designed to have some things setup already that make the map favorable for multiplayer. If you want to do your own thing basically use the creative database - it won't afford you any easiness on it's own - but will put you in a world ideal for learning the ropes in an untamed enviroment. Also Wurmpedia as others have mentioned is an invaluable tool - however sometimes it's information can be oriented around Wurm Online - which is a different game, but has a similiar base "Rule-set" you could say, similiar to how all the old D&D games share a base combat mechanic. Rules on Single-player (offline) servers are largely irrelevant since the Wurm Online TOS doesn't really apply to Wurm Unlimited (ie you can dig up highways/picklocks all you want in Wurm Unlimited on PvE Servers without getting banned - the same offense would get you banned from Wurm Online due to TOS violations). All in all - I recommend you experiiment, and maybe use a rope to lead a horse/cow to help you get around - you should start with one when creating a new character (i think) - but incase you need to make another you'll need wemp fibre and a rope tool. I could go on for days giving basic advice but the end result is: Read, and you will be rewarded - because things may not always work the way you expect.
In the unlikely event that you are playing on someone elses server - there's not much you can do to tweak the difficulty; it's pretty much a take it o leave it scenerio.
