I have seen plenty of games start out F2P with mainly character looks with no stat boost being their main format for income, but sadly they usually dont last too long or change over to pay to win systems. I have heard of people spending upwards of $3,000.00 in two months just to get all the uber crap then selling their accounts for like $1,000.00 .....doesnt make any sense to me why they do it.

If you dont like the pvp at all... then no... you dont need a cent to play it... because, everything you have in game, you can purchase with game money... of course you will need to work much harder then the ppl who pay to play... but still... I think if you are not that pvp addicted that must be the very best at pvp, you can do pretty well in game! everything you need "real money", you can receive that " real money" by participating in game events! ;)
Constant crashing for over a year. Load crashing ruins your daily instance runs such as GT and GL. Also ruins arena score. Known issue, has never been fixed.
Auction house search crash. Known issue, has never been fixed.
Why worry about botting? When it’s built into the game. No really, you can bot in this game, and its perfectly ok to run multiple clients and do so. Horrible idea.
Cash shoppers are much more powerful. You can “farm” gems and gold to upgrade for years.. or just spend $1000-$5000 and destroy everyone.
No level limit on armor quality, fortify level, or gem strength makes lower level pvp a cash shopper only arena.
Rift is the same allowing only major cash shopped guilds to bid. Very poor balance.
12v12 is the only random team pvp, but the rewards take months if not a year for War God set. Most of the time its filled with cash shoppers that make it very unfair and annoying.
Wrath is annoying during pvp and forces you to collect yellow balls like you’re playing Pacman mid duels and fights.
PvE is repetitive and very boring. Same quest every day. Very slow, boring and I found myself falling asleep and botting everything.
Game has less and less players
The skills are allll the same on every type of talent tree. Example, Ice Mage, Fire Mage, Wind Mage all use the same basic skills.
Graphics are decent, but the game is CPU heavy (core i7@3.7ghz) and doesnt even warm my gtx 560ti. If you max graphics you crash everyone other screen. If you lower them, you crash less often, but still experience frame skip and need to reload client to refresh corrupted data.
Tech support is the worst ever. The community is foul, unpleasant and childish.
I have played Ferentus, Dialbo series, Guild Wars, and many MMO’s. This is by far the most cash hungry company that I have ever seen and suggest to check the BBB rating of F before ever spending a dime of giving them any of your time.
- Blacklight Retribution : 60 USD for all the items ingame (or that Season?)
I'm not so sure about Rusty Hearts, RaiderZ, Neverwinter Nights Online or anyone like that I'd be assuming that RaiderZ would be all right. Its made by Meint Entertainment and they are the same guys who made Gunz The Duel (Hosted by ijji, yes they made mistakes) and Gunz The Duel 2. I just hope PWI never ♥♥♥♥♥♥ RaiderZ didn't look half bad.
Also Meint Entertainment, Tripwire Interactive and the small to semi small teams are my favourite 'developers'. PWI is -not- my favourite pricing company/developer. But they might get away with hosting.

Money should at least be spread over the course of 50 to the maximum of 100 dollars a month not 1000 dollars in 4~6 months, which is basically what PWI wants to sell its players of its older titles (and even if they do have sales) and what's more hidden behind the mechanic of gathering or a combination of 3 of one super rare item to make a final item, that only comes out of a 'box' which can only be bought and the chances are shockingly low.

Perfect World International doesn't allow people to earn things. It just gouges with packs. Its been gouging with packs ever since 2010 and I've played the Malaysian version of PW and Cubizone did a very good job of monetizing, guaranteed Cubizone isn't around anymore it still did it reasonably. Reasonably being the very *important* operative word here. Arena Net also does things better with Guild Wars 2 than Cubizone did. Hell I have parts of Guild Wars 2 I don't like; But continuing on with the idea, I have a lot more I like about Guild Wars 2 than I did about Perfect World or what I saw of Forsaken World.
The International version however just price gouges everyone. The Malaysian/Singaporean version of Perfect World (http://pw2.garena.com/) at least doesn't price gouge.
You can ONLY for the most efficient part get Rank 9 armor through the cash shop, you can't earn it ingame or the only way to earn it ingame is a corner-stoned virtual-market and also PWI is taking all the ingame currency or reducing the ingame currency, a lot of us ex-players are hoping it will just have to shut these money gouging (theme) scheme parks down. Also PWI sells power, unfortunately and THAT in it self is enough to kill the whole game. If it wasn't so bad that there was power creep. Sure. But selling power is the nail in the coffin.
The only issues i have are with the no auto-targeting which is kind of annoying...and no target toggle button....also the issue with the client downloader saying you have corrupted files all the time that you bypass by pressing the verify button and then canceling formthe verify.
But aside from that...no you dont have to pay to win at all....I am not sure what you would pay for.....someone mentioned crafting materials...hate to point this out....but you can buy all of it from vendors in game....you also get awarded the items.
As for pvp pay to win....well then you are a complete moron if you have to pay to win....people who pvp you have to expect they played alot and have alot of stuff.....so yeah you wont be on even ground with someone who has played a long time. And it wont matter how much you buy from a cash shop either...you do have to actualy play this game.
And if you actualy play you probably wont have to spend much in the cash shop.
I played for 3 days...and had alot of interesting things i ran into....but after sticking with some quests I found there are tons of things that give you free things in game.
By the thrid day i not only had a mount and free equipment that was better then what people sell onthe auction house but i had enough cash i didnt have to worry about alot of stuff. The only issues i have right now are getting the actual non-soul money...which takes a bit more time to get. But thats convertible to cash shop money.....
Which brigns up the only other trouble i have had so far....they give you so much free stuff...that they tell you whom to go to to turn it in....which lies the problem....their actual map and ability to find Non-player characetrs is a bit troublesome. For the life of me i could not find sophia to turn in this stuff i got for reputation...finally after typing in one letter and scrolling through lists i found her....literally around the corner from where i was....but again thats not a big issue.
And again.....i think most of the people on this thread are exactky the type of fish these companies look for to reel in. They have you all convinced you have to pay to win....and stupidly some of you think you need specifc items all the time and have become so lazy that you wont actualy figure out how to get things automatically.
And on another note...they do have a suscription you can do....in the cash shop thing you will notice they have what are called VIP cards....these last for one month...having one opens up other parts of the game for you for free..including more free items.
Coincidentaly you dont have to actualy use real cash to get cash shop cash so its possible to get the membership for free....you would probably have to spend maybe 4 hours to do so.
Thats doing the gold quest 4 times.
If you are super lazy they have these parts inthe game where you simply leave your characetr somewhere....and they auto-get exp.....dont ask me about it....like i said i have only played for 3 days.

Total:
300,000 Reputation (108 Gold)
19 Medals of Glory (380 Gold)
205 General Summer's Tokens (1025 Gold)
1513 Gold
^ See that 'cost' that "gold" is basically their currency in United States Dollars. Thats not 'value' thats ripping off. You can't get the Medals of Glory any *OTHER*. Let me repeat that, You cannot get those any OTHER way. You have to pay for them or someone has to pay for them.
Maybe you don't actually know what sort of company this is?
