I left Irent in Nov after rf2's refresh because of their respectable price point, the game play and the new UI. Years ago I uninstalled rf2 and swore I would never play the sim again because of its absolute garage set up process and moronic UI. It was complete trash and a waste of time back then. They have much improved the game since years past but they seem to be steadfast in the half thought out UI's and this is fine attitude. FOV set up is assign per skin- per car instead of PER CAR. How that makes sense to anyone blows my mind. Even Dave, a majority rf2 youtuber has a vid were he shakes his head at this set up. And then there is the pos in game wheel calibration which has an AUTO function but it you click it you get a FAILED message. They KNOW this issue and STILL have not addressed it!! So again have fun figuring out the quirks of doing that manually in this sim! My advise is watch some youtube vids on this before you buy or try to figure it out solo!
I believe others feel the same because racer numbers have dropped way off since Nov. Online racing at 9pm or past is pretty much non existent anymore and during prime time it seems to avg 2-3 splits which is not bad but for a world wide sim I feel it pretty slow to only have 30-40 racers online in rookie for a prime time race. The game clearly pushed me over the edge today before writing this very honest review. And I can 100% say I can not wait until AC2 Evo is release so I never have to look back at the this sim or irent again!!!! Happy racing all, see ya on the blacktop :)

♥♥♥♥ that doesn't respect players. Bought reiza cars pack - see no machines picture in the menu. Changed the machine - force feedback gone to 0. Devs, guys, do you relaly think that setting ffb each time I change a machine is something that players should experience? It feels like disrespect for me. I say no to this game.

Verrrrry Good

I've played driving games with a wheel and pedals since Grand Prix Legends on a Microsoft Sidewinder and I like a lot of them, but RFactor 2 has to be the game that gives me the best force feedback ever (I now use an Accuforce).
You can feel everything that the car is doing, which means you can be consistent (especially in VR because it basically feels like you are sat IN the car). Now that there is ranked online multiplayer as well, I rarely play anything else...

Most realistic sim so far, even better than iRacing. Only the lack of the new gen gt cars and the lack of the player base is ♥♥♥♥.. They also should make sales more often and make kartsim pro and reiza pack included into the complete pack. 200 Euros for the complete pack even though not every track and car is included is a bit scammy...

still number 1 in my book for wheel FFB. good comunity.
