rFactor 2.
The F1 games are "games" and rFactor is a simulator. Their is no comparison, one is used by Motorsports pros and serious people, the other is played by 15 year olds on Xbox controllers.
rF2 when it comes to sim-racing but if you love F1 then F1 (2021 edition is the best IMHO). Two different leagues like @Lewis said. It depends what are you looking for. If fun from driving then rF2 but if career mode etc. then F1.

Edit: Mods to rF2 are in majority a garbage except the ones from the game devs (premium and anthology packs are free for example). Paid content is top notch and worth money.

I will choose rF2.

rFactor 2 has one of the best tire models in all of sim racing honestly. This is still the best feeling sim on the market in my opinion. That's why I started a whole community, and we have one hell of a modder over at AGRO that makes tracks and cars for us :D

From all race games i own personally rF2 is on top. Purely because of the FFB. If other games would have the same FFB model i dont know if rF2 would be on top. The shift of mass weight being translated to the tires into the FFB feels so natural. Entering the corner and the wheel feels more heavy due to load on tyres due to weight shift. This is the same for all games i own but were rF2 differs is once tires tend to loos grip the FFB becomes slighty weaker. Same for breaking. Brake and FFB feel more heavy until tires start to loose grip and ABS kicks in. I that way i am able to race the car at its max, over its max, save tires or burn them within a few rounds.

AMS 2 does not have good physics in my opinion. They have a lot of work to do and get better. Graphics are the best but for me most important thing is physics, and RF2 AC and ACevo are far above AMS2
What is better? Miracle Whip or Mayonnaise?

I like potato salad.

If you are serious, don't compare these games. If you want to be fully immersed in a F1 season, with simplified physics, just try one of the Codemasters's game (F1 2019 is my favorite one, featuring the widest range of classic cars).

If you want a simulation experience about F1 cars, Automobilsta 2 or Rfactor2 are good options. I personnally like AMS2 more than Rfactor2, but as you can read, Rfactor2's fans are telling you there is no other option. What is sure about Rfactor2 is the slidy tires and the lack of weight (which have been transfered to LMU and are the major issues pointed by real drivers).

If you are not a PC elitist, forget Rfactor2. The game is great only if you work on the software for each car. If you want a plug and play game, just go for an F1 game or AMS2 if you want something more realistic.

You literally have no idea what you're talking about 😂

Why compare two complete opposites? F1 has a championship career regardless of opinion.

You’ve got to compare a racing title that offers no championship mode or management other than racing for the sake of racing. Then you have an answer.

All titles have a ‘quick race’ and also a career, other than RF2
So if you have no time nor patience to sit doing a career -at that time- you can just setup a race. When you want to do a career you can do that also in F1 ##.
This is why RF2 is a one trick pony. You can’t prove anything nor achieve anything unless they factored in a career.
It’s like going to an arcade and putting in your money having a quick race then go home.
There has to be goals in motorsport simulators.
It’s used by pro’s just for familiarity, feel. But then the PS3 had all that and had its own championship award to give a driver a season with a team.

Both are not comparable. F1 is just that, F1.
RF2 isn’t *just* F1, it’s a multitude of formats

Well, the F1 games are simcade, and rF2 is a proper simulator with the best tire model to date in all of sim racing. rF2 and the F1 games shouldn't even be in the same conversation honestly...

You're a moron. iRacing doesn't have a career mode, yet people shill out $13 a month for that. You can't prove or achieve anything? As opposed to proving you can beat AI in a made up career mode? Your opinion is just outright stupid, and doesn't make sense at the end of the day. LMU doesn't have a championship or career mode, yet people have flooded that game. You have no idea what you're talking about.

Once the name calling starts, you’ve lost the argument.
I don’t know what I’m talking about and you do….. yep, humans. Nothing queerer.
You like quoting ‘you literally don’t know what you’re talking about’, don’t you. A one trick pony
