FVR V8 Supercars mod

It seems to me that when driving these, that after a few minutes i can no longer feel understeer through my wheel. I can easily turn my wheel without resistance and the car doesnt turn, and i get this after a few minutes...weird, has anyone else had this?

Yeah i noticed that at first,I think it has to do with tire wear,,if you use the setup on the fvr website,it will be much better.when you drive,have your tire display up,you will notice the heavyness of the steering will go when the tires are shot....cheers

Ahh cool, i'll check that out cheers. Only thing is it happens after about 2 laps, tyres should last lot longer than that...

Yeah, tires dont seem to last long at all in this mod. And it's using dunlop hard tires, there's no soft tires...

The only way to conserve them is just to brake earlier and lighter for corners. Though i did find that setup on the FVR forums a help with the lower tyre pressures and negative camber.

Its just the front tyres that wear out so fast, the rears seem fine.

@americanbrit24...Tyre selection is controlled by a "trackconfig" file that only allows the compound permitted in real life. Some tracks are hards only , some soft and some both compounds.

Hard ties would not wear out like soft tires. Hell, theyre more like supersofts the way they wear out. That was my point of putting that at the end. Id love to see how long softs would last in this mod.

Tire Wear is out by 50 to 60% regardless of setup on hards. I did over 100 laps of Adelaide in diff stints. Race pace taking it easy on throtle rears were gone in 10 to 12 laps each time. Flat out Qual laps Tires Shot in 8 laps.. Real life a Hard tire should easy do 30+ laps in a race stint with a steady Drop off in lap speed every 10 or so laps. i havnt tried Softs yet. thats next mission. :)

Yeah, i only tried hards and i was sure that the wear wasn't right. The only track i ran with this mod was Bathurst.

Even hards for me it seems are shot after about 2-3 laps of Bathurst (the front ones, the front right goes first). This has put me off playing this mod, the tyre wear is ridiculous. But i do like the cars and how well they look as in real life, just a shame about the tyres.

Yes me too, i gave up the first time i see the tire wear. I like to race more than just do hot laps.

This should be sorted out with tyre wear fellas. The setup has been incorporated as a base setup in the mod and the tyre wear sorted out. Our testers having done so many miles knew how to treat the tyres. the Dunlops are a bit of a handful in real life but it was making it too hard for everyone so the physics boys did some tweaking. Hope it works better for you.
