I check into the daily races from time to time and fine nothing, then go race ACC for now since there are participants racing there everyday all day long.
What else can be said really. I tried to make this work but it doesn't. I tried LFM they they dropped it from LFM.
I tried daily racing for a while and was good while people were there but then turned into a complete dud with little to no participants except occasionally.
I'll check in and glance a daily races for a while just to see if anyone there, but they don't even have the cars I want to race on daily schedule anyhow.
AND even rFactor 2 doesn't have any rating system built for people hosting their own server to enable that part of things either. Just deficient all around.
Despite the lack of enthusiasm for rF2 in this interview, rF2 has higher peak daily numbers than LMU right now on Steam so I surely hope it continues to get some love (until rFactor 3 is maybe someday released).
I have a feeling AC2 is going to steal a lot of hype from the sim racing space once it nears release, so it may be best to continue to support your dedicated fans (like further developing the online career and race system with knowledge you gain from LMU) rather than abandon your prized IP.
Who knows, maybe you end up gaining some players along the way. In the video, the CEO equated it to "ripping off an arm" but I think that is an extremely ignorant thing to say when referring to improving online features using a sim that shares the same DNA.
