Nothing is changed by my side since few months ago when I ran the server for the last time, while some updates came out for rf2, but I can't really tell what's happened.
Can anyone PLEASE help?
Not sure. If I set up a WAN server... I cant see it on the multi player list... I can see it as a LAN, if I set up a LAN server... BUT it wont download missing components over LAN... so I need to set up a WAN... would make my life much simpler
I don't think you will see your server as a Wan from your end as your other machine is essentially on your home network and you are connecting to it locally. You might have a google to see if setting your server on a different static IP might be a solution ?
In terms of downloading components, there are guides to setting http links for content etc. For me, I just play with a small handful of friends with some AI filling out the field. The simplest solution is to confirm we have the same content installed, then make a package in the Mas utility and email them the small mod for them to install and good to go.
That isn't a workaround if you want a big public server, but for a password protected one where you know the other players it works well.
Best of luck anyway
