The Ports are

The problem is that its not showing up in the server list, also if I run it as a lan server it dosnt show up either?

I can create a host but cant see it using steam. I can check the online webpage and it shows that it exists?

never had that problem exactly, but make shure you have the latest software for your router, and triple check the ports on it

The thing that annoys me is that prior to Steam, I never had this problem... :(

Although this type of problem in general is hard to remotely diagnose, my guess would be to definitely double check router and firewall settings to make sure nothing gets blocked or not forwarded correctly. To use the Steam matchmaker we had to use a few extra ports compared to when we were still hosting our own. This makes it slightly harder to setup a dedicated server. Still, I hope with some help from the community here, we can solve such problems for everybody.

hi guys, have a similar problem here.

i allready forwarded all necessary ports. after creating a dedicated server, my friend can find this server on that multiplayer list (this should mean, ports are ok) but I don´t.

It doesnt matter if steamerver or in the multiplayer game itselver. i can´t find my own game.
When my friend tries to invite me to my own game, nothing happens. ::(
