To even mention that you think Rf2 is superior in some way is proof positive you've never played the best racing simulator of all. Ridge Racer Type 4.
I know what I am talking about... I tested a lot and find a ton of stupid AI mistakes. I have a lot of proof of it.
I tested Project Cars 2 and find that Project Cars AI is better... at least it doesn't ram into my car... do you hate Cars?? it only shows your ignorance)) I don't hate any racing games... I like rFactor2 physics and mods.. I would like to play rFactor2 but I need good AI and good offline racing but it is far from it.. AI is dumb.. actually I don's see much difference comparing to rfactor1 AI or GTR2 AI,,, it is same old engine
another nonsense.. why can't I choose other racing lines?? it is not forbidden by the rules. I can drive on these racing lines that I want. but in that case AI becomes blind and doesn't want to see my car and just push into me. same problem was with AI in rfactor1...
AI programmers who was responsible for making AI for rfactor 2 made work too bad... I feel so much disappointment
What you describe is exactly the PC2 behaviour, that AI is a joke. RF2 AI is the best you can get for now. They see you and you can drive your own line without getting rammed.
On which track and with which cars is that happening ? Maybe track/mod is not optimized for offline racing, with the S397 content i have no problems, its big fun with AI.
Ah , ok you dont even own PC2 (yes yes sure another profiel with1000h) and have 5h in RF2
LOL
Those having issues must be doing something really goofy with their driving, their settings or both.
I've used these settings forever and it works darn well;
Damage Multiplier - 100%
AI Strength - 99% (You can try 100% but the AI can get a little weird)
AI Aggression - 29% (maybe a percent or two higher - fine tune to your liking)
AI Limiter - 0%
guys.. stop it... I just asked for help... I don't suppose to say "project cars 2 is the best game but rF2 is trash, so go to play project cars"... stop to be so toxic! I can repeat again - I love rF2 physics and mods but AI is not good! All hours I played I tested AI behaviour and AI regularly ramming into me and push me out of the track without any reasons... It doesn't happened to me in Project Cars 2 ...I don't say PC is better game, I just say that PC2 AI behaviour is intelligent and not ramming! I know what I'm talking about.. I could record and show you a lot of videos that demonstrates how over-aggressive and dumb rF2 AI is... I used only official tracks and cars from ISI and Studio 397.
My settings is AI strength - 90-100% AI aggression - 10-30% AI limiter - 10%
Try the settings I posted above. You can set and leave them for all mods as they work very well.
What exact mod or mods are you driving? I know you said S397 content but which specifically? What are your lap times in comparison to the AI when running the settings I've suggested?
Not a single problem with the AI other than once which was my fault for being too slow and getting in the(ir) way entering the track from the pitlane..
I think you are just slower than the AI and either need to practice and or turn down the AI strength until you can run clean with or outrun them and start increasing their strength working up to 99%.
In all seriousness, I've had multiple issues with Rf2 AI as well. Mostly due to them rejoining the track like idiots when they do something idiotic to another AI driver and late turn-ins when I'm on the inside of them and they just keep turning like I'm not there. They also are prone to low percentage moves like throwing daring blocks when a car has a run on them by significantly more speed, which can cause a major collision. And the yellow flag behaviour *is* absolutely DISMAL. I've had to adapt my driving style to minimize incidents.
I was trying to help and also gave my opinion the way you were allowed to give yours. My opinion may be different but that doesn't make it nonsense or lies just simply my opinion. The AI works for me and it appears to work for many others. You continue to blame the AI but refuse to accept some responsibility as the driver involved. At the end of the day RF2 is not perfect and neither are we, as with every other computer game or program we use we adapt or not. If you are unwilling or unable to adapt to the game don't waste our time by engaging in petty and unhelpful bashing. Just go and play PC2 and we'll spend our spare time assisting others who genuinely need help.
