Where are my cars and tracks for rFactor2?
I had not used RF2 for 4-5 months, and when I try to run it now I cannot find my cars or tracks, in the current UI, or when selecting to run in beta. Verified the files twice. Puzzled I am. Can anyone advise, pls?

sounds like you need to select the all cars and track series .

^^^ then wait about 3 ~ 4 minutes for all that crap to load in. LOL

Thanks, Easty and Peter. Tried that, but only a couple load, and I have checked that all the files are still there, I just can't access them in-game. The last time I ran rF2 I could access the old UI where everything worked, but now I don't see how to get to it. I tried the Beta version from The Library, but that was no use either.

Try running a Steam Game Integrity Check. That takes a while also.

I've did that twice recently, thanks. I'll run it again, as I deleted my saved races earlier.

Files verified - no difference. I found where to select All Cars and Tracks - select the red block - screen says loading - 2 secs later it's back where it started.

you could try and go into the steam workshop and unsubscribe then re subscribe any content that you have from there and see if that works.

Check your Steam (rF2) Properties for Local Files location, and make sure it's actually where you have the game installed. And if you might have made a PC back-up previously, maybe all the files are still in there.

There should also be a All Tracks & Cars_10.mas file inside the folder
< steamapps/common/rFactor2/ Installed/rFm >

I've just tried uninstalling the sim, restarting the PC, then re-installing the game. No better. I can get a selection with "All Cars & Tracks" heading, and another 8 headings for various combos of cars and tracks which I can select, but it will not give me a list of all the cars and tracks I have to make my own selections. Too weird.
Peter - I've checked the PC files, and all the cars are there where they should be under rF2, and in the correct drive under "Installed" for the cars, and "Locations" for the tracks, all under rF2.

I've just been reading through this, you say you have pressed the all cars and track on the right hand side of the screen, but you haven't said anything about pressing the select button on the left side of the screen after.

Mangoletsi - Thanks - I have pressed the black block with "Select" in white lettering underneath the large red block many times now, and the message, "Loading all tracks and cars" appears ax the screen for a sec or two, then it goes back to the previous screen.

Your going to have to put up some screen captures/video of what your seeing.
Everything that has been said, should have resolved the issue.

I'VE GOT IT! I don't know for sure if switching off a plug-in labelled ir.dll, something like that, in the settings, had anything to do with it or not, because I'm pretty sure I previously tried what I just did before and nothing loaded. Anyway, selecting "All cars & Tracks" does not load anything, but selecting the previously used race track does - all my tracks loaded up, so I then tried selecting the previously used car - et voila! - up came all my cars in the next instant. I repeated the process - and again. It works. Not how I expected, but it works.

Thanks again for your help gents; much appreciated. Cool runnings......
