Also, none are installers, they're really just a package format that rF2 understands (rfcmp) and they're just extracted to the game's folder.
I can understand being cautious about security (I'm an amateur self-proclaimed security expert myself) but these files are safe.
The beauty of gaming is to MOD the game, and no reputable modder will put a virus in their package. Some modders go back decades, some even turned out to be professional game creators, like Slightly Mad Studios or Reiza Studios.
If it wasn't for modding they'd probably not be here ;-)
I can't believe it...
For the BMW M6 GT3 there's the Apex Modding MOD.
For the M8 GTE there's the official GTE Pack.
For the M3 GTE there's the enduracers mod (really great car).
For the Ferrari 488, Simtek mod, or the Apex mod for the 458 GT3 - check my video comparing it to real life here ---> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jq6jLn_zdl4
For Mercedes GT3, the official GT3 Pack contains it. Otherwise, the SimTek mod has one.
For LMP1 there's either the official GTE pack, or the URD paid MOD.
But there's also an LMP1 mod circulating around https://drive.google.com/file/d/1DT_eAWGhWNbdQkOip_Pk3_GyFsT994mj/view
Anyway thanks for all the help :)
And about the content: ISI, who previously owned rFactor 2, had the dumb mentality of creating very few content and leaving most of the work for modders. That was outdated the moment iRacing was launched.
But now under the direction from S397 the game is seeing very good content being put out. It wouldn't surprise me if we see supercars (like the LaFerrari) next year.
