If you flick the throttle or input anything does it stop?

Also which wheel?

My G29 sometimes starts off with full inputs, but when I dab the throttle they all behave properly.

Is this a recent occurrence or have you just installed rF2 or just got the wheel?

I remember my wheel didn't work at all in rF2 until I calibrated it in Windows (Control Panel | Game Controllers), and after I'd done that it was fin in rF2 (strangely, other games worked okay without having to do this, but not rF2).

Ah, but unfortunately it is, as I mentioned above!

GPL - no problem
N2003 - no problem
Project Cars 2 - no problem
Assetto Corsa - no problem
AMS - no problem
rF2 - only works after windows calibration of wheel axes!

rF2 is a PITA when trying to set up a wheel,
yelling at the screen doesn't help, (much)
once I got it working properly it was all worth it
so don't give up, and good luck,(your going to need it)

thanks 4speed318 for encouragement and i've already done my fair share of screaming at my screen

If you followed the instructions for the Thrustmaster you would know how to calibrate the wheel in the control panel.
They don't write instructions because they have nothing better to do.

The steam app offers a controller interface that can cause problems with racing titles and wheels. Right click on the game in steam library and choose properties. "Steam Input Per-Game Setting" change 'Use your Global Steam Input settings to "Force Off".

Some have reported this setting can change on its own when Steam client updates.
